Use biennials and annuals to beautify your flower bed. You can fill gaps between shrubs or perennials. Notable varieties include cosmos, rudbeckia, hollyhock, hollyhock, marigold and sunflower.

You can also train climbers to cover arbors and other things that you want covered, or you can send them through plants you already have. Some varieties will climb and attach using their tendrils or branches, and others will attach themselves to any surface using their twining stems or tendrils. Some climbers that have proven to be reliable are honeysuckle, jasmine, wisteria, climbing roses, and climbing roses.

Gardening also requires transporting heavy objects and lots of dirt, so a wheelbarrow makes for a wise investment.

Learn the best harvest time to pick different vegetables. Each type of vegetables has its own ideal time to produce the best flavor. For example, peas and zucchinis are tastiest when picked young. Tomatoes, in contrast, are tastiest when they have been allowed to ripen on the vine as long as possible.

Chamomile tea applied to plants can be an effective treatment against fungus problems.

Pine is a great organic mulch. Cover your beds with the needles, and they will disperse acidity to the soil below as they decompose.
